BIKLOPS HUSTLE!!!!!!

July's First Friday is fast approaching (July 2nd, two weeks away) and I wanted to spread the good word about an official hustle for the BIKLOPS Poster Exhibit brought to you by Screen Ink. print shop.

This hustle will be completely FREE! So you faithful reader, have NO reason not to come. I have your ip address (joking, I don't even know my own) and I know where you live (not joking), so you better be there or something will happen in your future!

Anyways, let's get to the details of this race:

After the race, everyone is invited back at Screen Ink. for the BIKLOPS Poster Exhibit where all proceeds from Poster sales go to help support the great work the GPTN (Great Plains Trail Network) is doing for the city of Lincoln.

Thursday, April 22nd, at 8 PM has been set as the date of the next hustle. Starting location details to be announced at a later date.

Scrabble Hustle Details

7 checkpoints, one letter per checkpoint

Highest scoring word wins.
Race ends 45 minutes after first rider finishes.
Finishing involves assembling a word with as many letters from the checkpoints as the rider can use and putting that word down on the board.

1st rider to finish: triple word score
2nd rider to finish: double word score
3rd rider to finish: triple letter score (any one of the rider’s letters)
4th rider to finish: double letter score (any one of the rider’s letters)
Using seven letters for one word ‘bingo’: 50 points

All checkpoints are optional. Riders must have a word to finish, and all words must be in The National Scrabble Association's Official Tournament and Club Word List, Second Edition. Only letters that are used to form a word count toward scores. Only one letter can be used from each checkpoint.

Thursday 2-25-2010

February's hustle was a quick, last-minute one. We met at Re-cycled at 8 PM and enjoyed a tall boy while trying to figure out a destination. After much deliberation, it was decided that a single checkpoint would be followed by $1 Empyrean at the Watering Hole. The checkpoint destination was on Briar Rosa Drive, near 27th and Old Cheney.



Patrick's mother provided us with a slip of paper with her signature on it as our checkpoint verification. Thanks for taking time out of your night of preparing taxes to help out, Mama Sands!


Final standings, with Patrick's editorial comment for forgetting to include the night's only female racer in the lineup.
